It has been nearly a month since the release of the demo version (Act I). During this time, the team has gathered a wealth of valuable feedback and received many warm words. The mod was featured in both Polish and international media, and we have been closely following your comments on social media, modding forums, and our Discord server. If you’ve already had a chance to visit the Ditch, we still strongly encourage you to share your thoughts.
The Cania Believe It Works team would like to thank everyone who actively shared their feedback over the past few weeks. At the same time, they are opening recruitment and inviting creative minds to collaborate on the creation of future acts!
Who is needed?
A key decision made by the team at the very beginning of development was the rejection of AI-assisted tools in their creative work (except as a coding aid). If you would like to apply to co-create this project, we kindly ask you to respect this established workflow. This project is all about human craftsmanship.
- Voice Actors – upcoming acts of Blizzard in Baator need the right-sounding voices. Can you strike the stoically calm tone of a githzerai or deliver lines with the ruthless arrogance of a fiend? Send in your sample!
- 3D Artists – the team is looking for asset designers (the game engine accepts models in .glb format) able to create animated characters and monsters; assistance with rendering 2D animation frames according to provided instructions.
- 2D Artists – the team is looking for artists with a passion for creating in-game illustrations, as well as experienced cartographers (world and location maps).
- Scripters – technical minds with good knowledge of WeiDU and the Infinity Engine environment (including NearInfinity). Practical experience in creating and modifying game assets (.cre, .itm, .spl, .are, .2da) is required.
The writing team is virtually complete. However, if you have exceptional writing skills and know Planescape lore inside out, there is still a possibility to welcome an additional writer aboard.
If you are interested, please contact the team at: cania.believe.it@gmail.com (you can also find them on Discord).
The Cania Believe It Works team asks that you include a sample of your skills (voice recording, 3d models, writing sample, etc.) right along with your application.
Note: The Blizzard in Baator mod is a project created by fans, for fans. It is distributed for free and receives no funding whatsoever. By choosing to collaborate, please keep in mind that this is a non-commercial project.
Blizzard in Baator update
We would also like to inform you that two patches for the demo version have recently been released on GitHub. These updates fix, among other things, bugs that prevented the doors to the Great Foundry from opening, issues with displaying certain dialogue options (including Alviro’s) and glitches in Kabatum’s shop. They also introduce better support for Linux operating systems.
You can find the latest release of the mod here.
